Documents needed for the St. Kitts Passport
We will act as your service provider. We will help you collecting of the right documents. You need a short resume on you, including education and professional activities. Furthermore, you need a birth certificate, the extract of the police records, bank statements and proof of address. We will compose the application for you. We will file the application with the Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) in St. Kitts and Nevis.

The Citizenship by Investment Unit will review the application and conduct the due diligence on you with the support of external companies. They do an extensive background check with the most important international crime databases, the competent governmental bodies and international intelligence agencies. They check if the information provided is true and genuine. Usually, such a background check can take between 2 and 6 months. If your background is OK they give a pre-approval to your application.

What will happen if there is a minor criminal offense made in the past?
Here is my honest advice. Don’t lie in case you have committed a minor criminal offense. If you did something wrong many years ago, don’t hide it. If your lie will be discovered – and it will be discovered – you will be rejected. Be transparent. Let us discuss this obstacle with the CEO of the Citizenship by Investment Unit, Mr. Less Kahn. If a minor infraction is properly disclosed, we have a good chance to fix the problem with your application. If you lie you will be automatically rejected and you will lose your fees.

Now, after having accomplished the due diligence, you are finally invited to make the donation to the Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation or to invest in the government approved St. Kitts real estate projects.

You and your family members will receive all citizenship rights and a second passport. There are 5 countries in the Caribbean Islands offering such a second citizenship program: St. Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, St Lucia and Grenada. St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment is the first country in history who invented the program in 1984. It was just one year after the independence from the British in 1983.

St. Kitts and Nevis has 54’000 inhabitants making it the smallest Citizenship by Investment country. From St Kitts you have direct flight connections to London, Miami and Toronto. Since 1984 the government has issued more than 10’000 citizenships to economic citizens. Mr Less Khan, the new CEO of the Citizenship by Investment Unit, is responsible to maintain a very high standard with the background checks. He is increasing the quality of the St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship. The St. Kitts and Nevis citizenship by Investment Program is the most solid program among the 5 existing programs.

St. Kitts Passport Scandal
In May 2014, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network in the USA attacked the Citizenship by Investment Program for having sold passport to criminal elements. In November 2014, Canada canceled visa-free travel for St. Kitts passport holders. St. Kitts recalled all biometric passports issued from January 2012 until July 2014 and replaced them with new passports indicating the place of birth and name changes. All passports not returned by 31 January 2015 were declared as illegal passports by the government.

I have been in St Kitts in 2007 for making my own due diligence on the Citizenship by Investment program. I met professional agents engaged with the Citizenship by Investment Program. I met people in the hotel from Iran and Russia. They participated in the program and successfully collected a new Saint Kitts and Nevis passport. They visited St. Kitts to change their names on the St. Kitts passport.

I met a Russian agent who was specialized in changing the names of the candidates. They managed the properties and collected utility bills as documentary evidence for a new residence. They were responsible for paying the water and electricity consumption bills of the clients. The Russian agent was permanently established in St Kitts taking care of hundreds of passports mainly for Russian speaking clients. They opened swiss bank accounts in Switzerland for their clients. The Russian agent was running a successful business with his wife.

Such name changes are not anymore possible. A strict background check is beneficial to the program. It gives more international value to new citizenship. I will tell you why later in this video. Don’t accept passports issued based on special connections
If you document a new residence in St Kitts based on utility bills, citizenship with the St. Kitts and Nevis real estate passport combined with a new name, you become a totally different person. This was the best asset protection structure money can buy. But it was illegal. It means money laundering. It was close to impossible for the banks and the authorities to connect the funds to the effective ultimate beneficial owner.

The country even sold diplomatic credentials to a businessman from Iran, Mr. Alizera Moghadam. He arrived in Canada with a diplomatic passport. He purchased the diplomatic passport for 1 million. Iranian business people circumvented the OFAC sanctions in the USA with economic citizenship in St. Kitts and Nevis. Today, such asset protection structures are not anymore tolerated because they were misused by criminals. Gerard Depardieu became a Russian Passport due to his best connections to Putin.

Passports issued based on such special connections are not good passports. Don’t accept passports issued based on a special connection to the Immigration Minister. There is no legal basis for supporting Citizenship. Such passports without a legal basis can be revoked by the following new government. That happens in St. Kitts and Nevis. Today, the St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment program are very strict.

That’s the reason why it has a high value and 152 countries are allowing visa-free travel. Only a very strict background check followed by a severe procedure guarantees a high value for your new passport.
