In the payment card sector, Cornèr acquired BonusCard.ch in 2011 and Diners Club, Italia, and Dinit, Slovenia in 2015.
Cornèr Trader was born in 2012.
Cornèr has four branches, in Chiasso, Locarno, Geneva and Zurich and the affiliate companies Cornèr Bank (Overseas) Limited, Nassau, BonusCard.ch, Zurich, Cornercard UK, Diners Club, Italia and Dinit, Slovenia.

Private clients:

The products are: The asset management mandate investing in direct financial instruments, like bonds and equities or indirect financial instruments, like structured products and funds. The asset management funds mandate predominantly invests in funds.

Cornèr Bank offers several services like:

  • Consulting and asset management: Investment consulting, portfolio management mandates.

  • Market services: Forex, Treasury, structured products, stock markets, listed commodities and derivatives and the creation of funds and SICAV segments.

Commercial clients:
For corporates, Cornèr offers commercial lending, mortgage lending, Lombard loans, documentary credits and collections, bank guarantees, tax and retirement planning and payment cards.
For the public sector, Cornèr offers public sector lending services.
The online services include myCornèr, Cornèronline, and newsletters. myCornèr offers several exciting features, like fundamental research, momentum-based financial analysis, and technical analysis research. The key services financial analysis, market commentaries and research commentaries cover more than 5’000 instruments, including forex, commodities, indices and middle and high capitalized equities.

Institutional clients:
Cornèr Bank is supporting the exchange, stock market and treasury activities on the international markets. The bank aims to develop and maintain relations with domestic and foreign banks. Cornèr has a long tradition as a depositary bank and provides this service to a lot of Swiss investment funds. The bank also offers depositary services for offshore funds.

Financial Intermediaries:
Financial Intermediaries services of Cornèr Bank are especially for independent asset managers, family offices, trust companies and law firms. The Financial Intermediaries team also offers all products and services available to the clients. Cornèr doesn’t offer products in a generalized way; they involve the financial intermediary dynamically and innovatively.

Risk Management
The risk management is an integral part of the bank’s activities. The Board of Directors is responsible for the overall risk policy. The affiliate companies have to apply the rules set out in the risk policy documents. The risk management framework ensures that all relevant risks are adequately identified, reported, assessed and monitored so that proper actions can be taken, and decisions can be made. Explicit powers and limits are established, and the control is ongoing. The assessment of risks is regularly presented to the Board of Directors and the Executive Board.

There are three levels of risk management:
Overall guidance and supervision is the task of the Board of Directors.
Formulation and implementation, as well as operational supervision, are the tasks of the Executive Board and the established committees, such as the ALM committee, the Trading committee, the Credit Risk committee and the Operational risk and Compliance committee.
The Risk Management unit and the Compliance unit are primarily responsible for the independent risk control.
